NEW ZEALAND veteran Graeme Morris was a guest at Goroke’s Anzac Day service on Monday.
Mr Morris lives near Millicent in South Australia and tries to attend a different Anzac Day service each year.
He served in Malaya in 1957 and from 1958 to 1959 he was involved in emergency peace keeping.
He moved to Australia in 1987.
“I try to go to a different place each year,” he said.
“It’s good to experience the different services and to see the young people get involved.”
Mr Morris will spend the next few nights camping at Ratzcastle.
“I’ve been there a few times before, it’s nice a quiet,” he said.
“I try to get away from about week each month.
“I don’t do much when I’m at home, so I might as well not do much somewhere else.”
