The students performed Joseph – based on the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Teacher Mark Busbridge said the children had been working on the production since the start of the year.
“It’s based on the biblical story of Joseph, but it’s been adapted for modern times,” he said.
Mr Busbridge said the production also featured modern music.
About 40 students are involved in the show.
The school had two performances on Thursday.
“The students really came alive on stage and were very excited,” Mr Busbridge said.
“You couldn’t get the smiles off their faces.”
Mr Busbridge said it was a young cast, made up of students in grades 3 to 6.
“It’s been a big journey since the start of the year,” he said.
Mr Busbridge said performing on stage gave students a chance to shine.
“It also gives the children more confidence – I think a lot of them were surprised by what they could do,” he said.
Mr Busbridge said he received lots of positive feedback about the performances.
He thanked all the teachers and parents who helped out.
