Mason and Finley Roche were born 11 weeks early and were diagnosed with cerebral palsy when they were 18 months old.
Their mother Keisha Roche said her sons had overcome so many hurdles already.
”The boys have already totally astonished us with what they have achieved with treatments and therapy,” she said.
”While in the womb the twins developed twin to twin transfusion syndrome and had to be delivered early.”
Mrs Roche said the boys had so much personality and determination.
“They have received walking frames and both are very determined to get walking down pat,” she said.
Mrs Roche said they had both had wheelchair assessments and would now wait about a year to get wheelchairs.
“We travel to Ballarat and Melbourne frequently for specialist appointments and rehabilitation,” she said.
She said their Warracknabeal home would need to be altered to make allowances for the boys abilities.
“Ramps will need to be installed to both the front and back entrance and we will also need to modify our bathroom to make life easier and give the boys some independence as they get older,” she said.
Horsham’s Exchange Hotel will raise money for the twins on Friday night, with its weekly keg for a cause fundraiser.
The hotel will donate a keg from 5pm, and proceeds for drinks sold will go to the Roche family.
Publican Nick Murray said people could pay what they wanted for a drink.
“Some people slip $5 in for their pot and others throw in a $20,” he said..
“The twins will be in the Exchange Hotel on Friday night, so people can meet them and see just how much spunk they have.”
