"We extended our junior section and this year we received 394 junior entries in the cooking, craft, artwork, horticulture and woodwork sections," she said.
"Everybody entered in the gingerbread section."
Mrs Flack said about 700 people streamed through the gates and numbers were up on last year's show.
"It's a much busier show this year and everybody seems to be having a good time," she said.
"Toot the clown has mingled with crowds all day and horse events are very popular.
"Nadia Smith of Rainbow won the Miss Rainbow Showgirl competition and Ebony Schilling was the runner-up."
Mrs Flack said a highlight of the show was a grand parade at 3.15pm.
"We had a range of old trucks from around Rainbow in the parade, including a Morris Commercial, which we were fortunate to have from the Wimmera-Mallee Pioneer Museum at Jeparit," she said.
"Bulldog tractors also featured as part of the grand parade, because they celebrated being 100 this year, which is a significant achievement."
Mrs Flack said the society appreciated the support of Hindmarsh Shire Council and the people of the Wimmera.
"Our show really is a family event and the Hindmarsh Shire declared our show day a public holiday," she said.
"Nhill Show is on tomorrow and Hopetoun Show was on Sunday, so it's good to have the support."
