Daniher visited the Apsley pub and the Kaniva Men’s Shed as part of Wimmera Uniting Care’s RARE talk to a mate program.
RARE worker Mal Coutts said the events included a range of guest speakers.
“Stuart Wilder who is a male practitioner talked about men’s health in regional areas,” he said.
“Terry Daniher talked to us about how his life was growing up in a country town and his background.
“He continued to talk about his life in football, about being part of a team and how important it is to have mates throughout your life. He was brilliant at both venues.”
A signed Essenden shirt was raffled at Apsley and won by Dave Samble.
