The comfortable 52-19 scoreline reflected the Burras’ dominance.
The match between the second and third placed sides in the Wimmera Netball Association had shaped as a good encounter.
Minyip-Murtoa started the game quickly and once the side began rolling along, Warrack couldn’t work back into the game.
Burras coach Vicki Burke said she was happy with how the game panned out.
“We’ve been improving well through the season and we seem to be hitting peak form at the right time,” she said.
“It was a nice steady performance over four quarters.”
Burke pointed towards the side’s goal scoring duo as pivotal to the result.
“Kirby Knight and Jessica Ellis were really strong,” she said.
“Kirby ended up with 35, she’s been getting big bags of goals recently.”
Laura Delahunty was again among the best players thanks to her consistent performance throughout the game.
Warrack coach Zandria Malone said her side was put on the back foot early.
“Minyip-Murtoa got the jump on us early and that confidence carried them through,” she said.
The situation wasn’t helped when Briodi Mckenzie went down injured in the first quarter.
“That restricted our goaling options so we lost a bit of flexibility early,” she said.
Warrack’s players struggled to make possession count throughout the game as they made poor decisions and shot less accurately then they would have liked.
“We had possession we just didn’t make the most of it,” Malone said.
“We just need to treasure the ball a little bit more.”
Despite the result Malone saw the result as something to learn from.
“It gives us a good idea of where we’re at and what we need to improve on,” she said.
Minyip-Murtoa will play Ararat Rats in round 15.
Burke will be looking for her side to continue building to finals.
“We’ll just be focusing on our direct smart game,” she said.
Warrack will face another difficult task against a Dimboola side that sits one spot below them in fourth.
“They beat us last time and it should be another close game,” Malone said.
“We’ll need to be making the right decisions.”
