Police broke up a protest at Melbourne Airport after more than a dozen activists attempted to prevent the transfer of an asylum seeker on Tuesday morning.

A group of between 10 and 15 activists were moved on from the airport about 7am, but no arrests were made, police said.
A spokeswoman for Melbourne Airport said the protest caused no delays.
"It all happened pretty quickly, it didn't affect operations at all," she said.
Maaike Wallace, 24, helped organise the protest after they received a tip that an asylum seeker would be transferred at the airport on Tuesday.
"We were physically removed from our line of protest outside the van where the individual was being kept," she said.
"After that, the police stopped us from going anywh ere near him. They quickly moved him behind a line of police through a gate we could not access."
Protesters and GetUp! believe the asylum seeker was being transferred to Manus Island via Christmas Island. The man, from Sudan, is one of 267 people brought to Australia for medical reasons earlier this year, according to GetUp!.
