The group had an open day on Sunday.
Secretary Bryan Loats said more than a hundred people came through the doors to see the group’s work.
“It was pretty good apart from the freezing weather,” he said.
“People seemed to enjoy it. The Country Women’s Association put on a barbecue, which did well.”
Mr Loats said the day aimed to raise money for the club and share woodturning with potential members.
“We sold the odd thing here and there,” he said.
“The raffle went really well. It made $2800 to help pay for the club.”
Mr Loats said the club had been running for 30 years now but the group hoped to attract some new and young members to ensure it’s legacy continued. “We hope to get new members,” he said.
“We handed out plenty of brochures at the day.
“You never know you might get one or two.”
