On July 27, 1998, 18 years ago, sisters Andrea Jorgensen and Sharon Clough found themselves in labour on the same day.
“I was booked in, but Sharon was due after me and went into labour early,” Andrea said.
“It was funny when we saw each other at the hospital.
“They asked if we wanted the same room but we opted for privacy.”
The pair ended up each giving birth to healthy girls only hours apart.
On Wednesday the girls celebrated their 18th birthday, with a joint party. Porsha said she believed the shared birthday had made the cousins closer.
“It’s definitely made our bond stronger,” she said.
“We’re best friends. People are always surprised we’re born on the same day and cousins.
“We’re really similar.
“Bec was born six hours earlier, which she can hold above me.”
