The seminar is on at 4pm on Friday, August 19 at the Alexander Oval Community Centre in Ararat.
Seminar presenter and chartered accountant Marcus Kirkpatrick said the seminar presented a fantastic chance for local business operators to hear first-hand strategies that can help them work smarter, pay less tax and plan for the future.
“Cloud accounting for instance, has the potential to transform their business life, which many people may or may not be aware of,” he said.
“Many family-owned and operated businesses, particularly those in the farming sector, face many risks in running their businesses.
“A key topic at this seminar will be to explain how to protect your valuable assets.
“It is important that all business owners are aware of how to protect their business and personal wealth in case of unfortunate circumstances arising, for example, being sued or death.
“The seminar will provide an overview of the options that many of you should be considering to minimise your chances of financial ruin.”
Topics to be discussed at the seminar include:
- Protecting your business and personal wealth.
- Make your bookkeeping easier and less time consuming.
- How to get your customers to pay ‘on the spot’.
- Saving tax.
Light snacks and refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the seminar.
Seminar attendees will go into the draw to win a door prize valued at $100.
Registrations for the free seminar are essential.
People can RSVP to Kate at RSM on 5330 5800 or email kate.martin@rsm.com.au no later than Friday, August 12.
