Stawell Warriors showed how desperate it is to secure third spot with a come from behind victory over Nhill Tigers in round 15 of the Wimmera Football League.

Stawell players found themselves down 27 points at the main break, after Nhill came out firing.
Warriors made several positional changes to start the third quarter.
Playing coach Brad Thomas sent himself and James Delahunty forward. Jack Musgrove made his way to the backline. Both Thomas and Delahunty led hard at the ball and were rewarded with goals.
Stawell kicked 11 goals in the second half while Nhill managed just two.
In the second half Nhill were out classed. Thomas took a big mark late in the game and kicked truly to secure the win for Warriors.
The final score was Nhill 9.5(59) defeated by Warriors 13.15(93).
Shane Field and Tom Eckel were Stawell’s best players.
For the Tigers it was a win that got away. Ben Pollock was Nhill’s best player.
