Southern Roos coach Paul Cleaver knows his side has its work cut out but said he thinks it has the capability to go all the way.
“We have been playing good football, but it’s crucial we play it over four quarters,” he said.
“We can’t have lapses in what will be a really good clash.
“Both teams have really good mid-fields and it will be crucial to get on top and win that.
“We need to get the ball to our forwards and dictate the game on our terms.”
Cleaver said his side had made no changes in final preparations.
“There is a bit of a buzz around the guys. We have been building on finals for the past few weeks so there is no real changes there,” he said.
“We are just giving it all a bit of a polish.”
Sam Brewer will return for the Southern Roos after being rested last week for general soreness.
The addition brings the Southern Roos up to full strength ahead of Saturday’s game.
“If we play our best footy I think we can keep going all the way,” Cleaver said.
“One of the secrets of our side is that the guys are strong across the board.
“The guys lead by example, we are a very lucky in that sense. No few guys pick up the slack.”
Cleaver said he will look to the usual standouts, Eric Guthrie, Hugh Douglas up forward and Hamish Ellis down back, to lead the side.
Laharum will look to coach Shannon Argall in the ruck to take on the Southern Roos’ Michael Phelan.
Laharum’s Cameron Bruce and Todd Henyen will work to win the ball in the centre of the field.
The side will also look to standout goal kicker Jason Przibilla to deliver the all important goals and Elliot Braithwaite to show his usual form.
Laharum sits comfortably in third position on 48 points on the Horsham District Football Netball League ladder. Harrow-Balmoral has cemented sixth position on 40 points.
Laharum had difficulty finding its best against Rupanyup in round 16.
The side had a close loss against Kalkee in round 13 and Edenhope-Apsley in round 11.
Despite Laharum’s rocky season, the side has had strong games against top sides, including the Giants in round 15.
The game will start at 2.20pm after the reserves game at 12.25pm.
