A DAY TO REMEMBER: Plan an activity that dad will enjoy this Father's Day. This may (or may not) be one of them.
Father’s Day is often synonymous with the gifts dad receives in the morning, but how you spend the remainder of the day is usually where the real fun and precious memories lie.

- Let Dad choose the menu for the day. If the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, then ask Dad to prepare his dream menu ahead of time and dish it out course by course on his special day.
- Go for a hike. Find a local hiking or walking trail the entire family can enjoy comfortably and pack a small, portable picnic to eat at some point during the journey.
- Play mini golf. Even if Dad prefers to play golf on a 18-hole fairway, miniature golf is still fun and a great way for kids of all ages to get involved.
- Plan a scavenger hunt. Prepare a series of cryptic clues that will ultimately lead Dad to one of his favourite places. Perhaps that location could be number 5?
- Go to a football game. Whatever code he follows, going to the footy with the family is a great day out – even more so if his team wins.
- Create a family tree. If you’re not a sporty family, why not dust off the photo album and recreate the family tree? Plenty of anecdotes are guaranteed along the way.
- Have a movie night. For the perfect end to the day, make Dad's favourite pizza (and popcorn) and watch a classic family-friendly flick together.
