Cameron Grayson came into the final round polled third before taking out a top podium finish.
Grayson said he was feeling nervous going into a race that could make him the overall winner of the competition.
“After finishing the final race I was more nervous not knowing if I had done enough to win,” he said.
“When they said I had won I was overwhelmed as this was my first year racing in the 450 A Grade class.”
Grayson’s coach and father Brad Grayson said that his son has won a few other competitions.
“He won the Victoria titles and the Hattah when he was in juniors,” he said.
“He wants to keep on going with it.
“He said he would like to do some freestyle racing later in the year.”
The Western Regional Titles were held over seven rounds for the course of the year.
The competition was hosted across Western Victoria at Colac, Ballarat, Ararat, Horsham, Warrnambool and Portland.
Grayson’s next race will be held in Adelaide where he will try his hand at supercross.
“I would love to give a big thank you to my dad for helping me along the way,” he said. Grayson said he would welcome any sponsorship support to help him continue to race competitively.
