This is the third time the program has been organised following activities in term one and two school holidays.
Children were able to play squash at the Horsham Squash Club on Tuesday and volleyball at Horsham’s St Brigid’s College on Wednesday.
Children can try their hand at golf on Friday at the Horsham Golf Club at 10.30am.
Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly team member and program organiser Matthew Friedlieb said all the sports had been running successfully.
“We had 27 participants at the volleyball and 18 at the squash,” he said.
“We have had nothing but positive feedback.”
On Monday, children can play tennis at the Horsham Lawn Tennis Club starting at 4.30pm with a barbecue to follow.
On Wednesday, children can play badminton at the Horsham Basketball Stadium starting at 10.30am.
“It is all about getting people active and into regional sporting clubs,” Friedlieb said.
“A program has also been started up in Stawell for the first time and it has been fantastic.”
Stawell youth enjoyed trying basketball, soccer, gymnastics and tennis. Friedlieb said the focus was on promoting physical activity.
