Ararat police are searching for any witnesses to the theft.
Senior Constable Kelvin Laugesen said the bike was taken from the home’s front yard.
“The bicycle is white in colour with a purple coloured sticker on the frame,” he said.
“It had a black coloured seat and has two different coloured rims, with red tape on the hand grips.”
Senior Constable Laugesen said it was possible the bike had been repainted or used for part.
“If anyone has knowledge of this bicycle, they can contact the Ararat Police Station on 5355 1500 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” he said.
A vehicle towing a trailer also collided with a truck at Armstrong at 6.30am on Thursday morning.
There were no injuries in the crash, but a 38-year-old Ringwood man was suspended from driving an alcohol and speed were not considered a factor.
The Western Highway was closed for an hour following the incident, but traffic returned to normal after 8am.
