Event manager Mark Radford said 88 cyclists took part in the event on Sunday, which was down from 132 participants last year.
“We were very, very happy with the way it went, with our volunteers and how everything worked and with the weather,” he said.
“There were less people from the Wimmera that took part but we were happy that a lot of people travelled to be involved.
“There were fewer families involved in the Natimuk leg – we had 30 families show up for that leg last year.”
Mr Radford attributed some of the decline to bad weather.
“Flood damage on some of the tracks also didn’t help,” he said.
The committee will consider delaying the next Arapiles Cycling Event until 2018.
