The couple now has one of the largest open gardens in Victoria, with plants and flowers spanning five acres.
The garden features more than 1000 species of native plants.
The garden will be open to the public on Sunday, and money raised from the day will go to the Wimmera Health Care Group Foundation on Sunday.
Entry is $10 and the open day will be from 10am to 5pm.
The Laharum Hall committee will provide a barbecue lunch and there will be plants for sale.
Mr Raleigh said he and his wife had been growing the garden since 1975.
“Some of the trees we have are 40 years old,” he said.
“When people come to see our garden they tell us they like it because it is mature.
“When you are here all the time you don’t notice it change much until someone points out the difference between visits.”
The garden is at 2866 Northern Grampians Road, Wartook.
Mr Raleigh said anyone would could not attend the open day on Sunday could call him on 5383 6200 to organise another time to visit.
