Nine members in two separate teams responded to fallen trees at Mafeking and on the Ben Nevis-Buangor Road.
Area commander Donna Dunmore said high winds and wet conditions had made it dangerous work for the crews.
“Probably the worst area was affected Ben Nevis-Buangor Road, which we had to close because it was too dangerous out there for us,” she said.
“As the guys were pulling trees off the road they had other trees falling down on them.”
Mrs Dunmore said the trees had been about two to three metres in width.
She also asked drivers to slow down when passing emergency service members on the roadside.
“When people see us on the road can they slow down when they go past us,” she said.
“Drivers went extremely quickly, which was a bit harrowing for us.”
