The Stawell Racing Club have made some big changes during the quiet season with a new committee now in place and a track upgrade complete.
Newly appointed operations manager Mark Percival said the track was in great condition ahead of their first race meeting.
“The condition of the track is probably the best we have seen in a while,” Percival said.
“Our track manager Chris Graham and his team are to be commended because it really looks excellent.”
Last season was an above average year for the Club and as a result they sit in a good position.
There are new sponsors onboard and it is looking like being another successful year.
As always the Stawell cup held on Easter Sunday will be the biggest race meeting of the year for the Stawell Racing club while the ever growing Christmas races will also be a big occasion.
