Mr Pritchard has won the Boardman Tasker Prize for Mountain Literature for his books Deep Play and Totem Pole. He also won the 1999 Banff Mountain Book Festival grand prize for Totem Pole.
Organiser Steve Findlay said food and drink would be available at the venue for free and donations were welcome.
