After weeks of inclement weather, Thursday dawned bright and clear for show organisers.
Show secretary Judi Armstrong said the show had been a tremendous success, even despite failing to set a new Guinness World Record for most people simultaneously rolling car tyres.
“We got 206 people to participate in the record attempt,” she said.
The current Guinness World Record of 323 was set by the Koyu Group in Japan in November 2015.
Ms Armstrong said pavilion entries were good and the mobile zoo and mechanical bull had both been popular, as had the cartoon portraits by Irene Harmsworth.
Ms Armstrong also said all horse events went off without a hitch.
