Nhill takes the lead in division one of the Wimmera Bowls

SATURDAY’S pennant division one, round two, concluded on Saturday, October 15 with Nhill topping the table after an impressive showing. 

Horsham City hosted Edenhope, winning in a clean sweep and taking all 18 points for the match. 

Kaniva defeated Coughlin Park 2 in the closest game of the round, taking 14 points from the match, while Coughlin Park gained four.

Coughlin Park 1 hosted Nhill but was dealt a mighty blow with Nhill taking 16 points from 109 shots. 

Horsham Golf, Dimboola and Sunnyside all had a bye this round. 

Nhill leads the way with 34 points; Horsham City follow in second with 22 points; Sunnyside, Horsham Golf and Kaniva are equal third with 14 points apiece; Coughlin Park 2 have eight points with Coughlin Park 2 on two.

Neither Dimboola nor Edenhope has accumulated a single point yet. 

Horsham City 2 defeated Sunnyside 3 in a clean sweep and gained 18 points.

Goroke defeated Coughlin Park on home turf, gaining 14 points from a possible 18. 

Nhill ousted Natimuk in the closest game of the round.

Horsham City 3 was defeated on its home greens by Sunnyside 2.

Sunnyside is one point off top spot – Dimboola had a bye. 

Horsham City 2 lead the way with Sunnyside one point behind; Natimuk is on 20 points in third; Nhill, Sunnyside 3 and Goroke follow with Horsham City 3, Coughlin Park and Dimboola making up the remainder of the table.
