McLean currently sits in fourth on the overall standings and has touched on some form and consistency in the latter rounds of the competition.
McLean has 152 points and would need two podium finishes in the last two races to have a chance of overtaking third-placed Eric Stump, who is on 175 points.
McLean said he had been working on his bike skills to be competitive for the final races.
“I have seen myself find my limits and have fallen off a lot too, so I am hoping I can keep that limit of pushing hard and staying on (the bike),” he said.
“The team is going to be relaxed in this round. There is no rush like in the others.”
McLean said he was confident he could come away with another strong performance.
“I came close last round but made a small mistake – I really felt I could have won that one,” he said.
