Winiam had five batsman dismissed in its innings of 192. Kiata was all out for just 65. Winiam’s Ben Marra was the top batsman, with 86 runs for the side, while Mick Purchase contributed with a handy innings of 56.
Todd Alexander and Shanye Alexander were in fine form with the ball, claiming two wickets each, along with Josh Lees, who managed one wicket.
Tim Seymour top-scored for Kiata with 15, closely followed by Todd Alexander, who made 10 with the bat.
Bowling was Kiata’s strength as Brodie Cramer, Jake Preston and Brock Quick took two wickets each.
It was a much closer victory for Jeparit, as the side defeated the Nhill Tigers by 28 runs.
Mick Preston was Jeparit’s star batsman, making 43 not out. Ashley Dickinson claimed three wickets for the side. Lucas Dahlenburg made 41 for the Tigers.
