Three netball teams and two football teams headed to Bendigo to compete against almost 70 teams from across Victoria.
Wimmera Eagles co-ordinator and football coach Sonny Secombe said the carnival was a great weekend for all involved.
The Eagles’ division one team won two games out of four. The two losses were close games, with just one or two goals separating the teams. The division two football team struggled against the competition and did not win a game.
The three netball teams managed several wins throughout the day, with all three teams narrowly missing out on playing in the finals.
“It was a really good weekend,” Secombe said.
“It was pretty exciting to catch up and have everyone come together. The weather was great and warm.
“Even though we didn’t get the result, the main thing was the girls got up and had some wins.
“Everyone is excited to start playing next year.”
