‘The Changing Face of Horsham’ exhibition features film, photographs and objects from the 1950s and 20s.
Wilson Street and dozens of Horsham residents were photographed using a rotating camera with a metre-long negative to create a 270 degree panorama.
Historical society president Rod Jenkinson said he was sure that some visitors might recognise people in the exhibition.
“It wasn’t that long ago, so some people should still be around,” he said.
“In the 1920s they put a film camera on a car and drove around Horsham. The film is so old there wasn’t a projector in Horsham that could use it.”
One of the items on show is the tip of the spire from the demolished Horsham Church of Christ ministry.
The exhibition will run from 10am to 3pm on October 22 at the Mechanics Institute in Pynsent Street.
