Teacher Ben Tate said the RescourceSmart school jumped at the change to be involved.
The event features ABC Gardening Australia’s Costa Georgiadis and Granny Skills movement’s Rebecca Sullivan, with a wide range of workshops on offer.
“It gives students and the wider community the opportunity to meet Costa and Rebecca,” he said.
“I’ve worked with Rebecca before and she’s an absolute wealth of knowledge.
“It adds to the wonderful work we already do around gardening and sustainability.”
On Sunday, the event moves to the Warracknabeal community garden.
