HORSHAM University of the Third Age’s market day drew crowds as it raised money for the Wimmera Cancer Centre.

The group said the day was highly successful. The initiative was driven by member and tutor Joyce Lane.
Ms Lane is a cancer survivor and said the day would enable Horsham’s senior residents to support a worthwhile cause.
The group said after a lot of planning and concern the weather did not disappoint.
The garden group’s potted plants, vegetables as well as preserves and baked goods were offered by some of the market stalls.
The ‘Bookworms’ ran a second hand book stall, which sold everything from recent titles to encyclopedias from 1950.
Painted glassware by a tutor was on display to showcase a new class for 2017.
China painters had a beautiful display of work, which sold well.
Inside the U3A’s home, the railway station building, the oil painting and art groups had a fantastic display or work for sale.
