A 60-YEAR-OLD South Australian man was taken to Wimmera Base Hospital after being flung from his motorcycle, skidding 25 metres and crashing into a power pole.
Sergeant Julie Bergen said the rider was travelling north west on Dimboola Road, Horsham on Monday evening when his bike flipped under him during a soft right turn in the road.
She said the motorbike and rider slid along the road for 25 metres until the bike stopped against a wooden power pole, causing the rider to be flung over the bike and into the pole.
Sergeant Bergen said the man’s upper body hit the pole, and he was taken to Wimmera Base Hospital for an assessment of injuries.
She said the man was wearing full protective gear at the time.
