In division one bottom placed Aradale Blue is likely to struggle at home to match it with Lake Bolac.
Lake Bolac are in third place and within three points of ladder leader Chalambar.
In the match of the round Stawell Golf Red will travel to Ararat to take on VRI.
Stawell Golf Red are in second place and a big win against fourth placed VRI could move them up to top spot in the division.
Aradale Red will be favourites to get the points at Landsborough on its home green.
Ararat will be back at home against the second Stawell Golf team.
The home green advantage should be enough to give Ararat the win move up the ladder.
Chalambar have switched their game against Stawell in a replay of last years grand final to Stawell.
The home team will give themselves a chance of causing an upset over the ladder leaders due to the change.
In division two competition bottom placed Chalambar will play ninth placed Ararat VRI Blue.
The game is scheduled to be played at Chalambar but due to the green being out of action, bowlers have not had a chance to practice on it.
The move will even the match up with neither side having much idea on how the green is likely to play.
Chalambar Bowls Club president Garry Todd said he is seeking advice on how to deal with the green after the recent wintery conditions.
“We have an expert coming to have a look on the weekend,” he said.
“Depending on what the expert says, we hope to have it ready for division one matches after this weekend.
“Or if he says it needs some more time, then we will give it as much time as required to ensure it returns to good condition.”
Second placed Lake Bolac Black should be too strong at home against Ararat Green who are in 11th.
Stawell Blue will host ladder leaders Ararat VRI Red in what should be a great game.
The final result is likely to mean plenty in the context of the season and the final standings given how close it is at the top.
Stawell Golf could be be far to strong at home against Lake Bolac White who are second from the bottom.
Ararat Gold will be at home and should be to strong against the other Gold team from Stawell.
The match of the round will be between sixth placed Lake Bolac Red seventh placed Willaura at Lake Bolac.
Both teams are level on the ladder on points with 24 each.
Only one shot separates the two teams with Lake Bolac Red on +10.
With weather conditions improving and a sunny top of 23 degrees forecast, it should provide for a perfect round of bowls on the greens.
