The exam period kicked off with the English exam.
Horsham College student Ellena Binney said she thought she did a good job.
“The problems were really good and allowed us to explore and develop our ideas,” she said.
“It wasn’t as bad as I thought and I think I was prepared well enough.
“I just got in there and tried to relax.”
Ellena said she had been studying a lot in the past few days.
She said she continued studying straight after her English exam as she had another exam on Thursday.
College student Kelsey Bell said she thought the exam went alright.
“It was not as bad as I was expecting,” she said.
Kelsey said the three-hour test went quick.
“Hopefully I did well,” she said.
College student Joel Kimberley said he thought the exam would be worse than it was. “Some of the practice exams we did in the lead up where worse,” he said.
College English teacher Caroline O'Donnell said she was pleased with the questions on the exam.
“In class, we worked on questions almost identical to what was on the exam, so I’m very happy,” she said.
Exams will run until November 16.
