Lewis and Charlie Hender have already raised more than $60,000 for their Ride for Rhonda from Melbourne to Adelaide.
“We lost our beautiful mum Rhonda to cancer two years ago and we have been missing her like crazy and we wanted to do something positive in her honour,” Charlie said.
“So we thought what would be better way to go about it than to ride from Melbourne to Adelaide to raise money for brain cancer.
“We’re doing it with out best mates Jed Redden, Lachy Earl, and Darcy Collett.”
The riding group stopped in at Horsham’s Exchange Hotel on Tuesday and were greeted by Horsham Rural City Mayor Pam Clarke.
Money raised from the ride will be donated to the Queensland Brain Institute.
“We originally set out to raise 50 grand and now we’re trying for $75,000.”
The group reached the halfway point of journey on Thursday and crossed the South Australian border.
