Students from Warracknabeal Primary School and St Mary’s Primary School had workshops with Circus Oz performers this week.
The Circus Oz team was at the Warracknabeal Primary School from Wednesday
Their visit will include a community performance on Saturday night.
Principal Mick Moloney said the workshops were a fantastic experience for the students.
“It was a great success,” he said.
“We had about 60 students from the two schools involved in the workshops and they learnt skills on the trampoline, juggling and hula hoops.
“We had Circus Oz performers training them up to be involved in the performance on Saturday.”
Mr Moloney said the crew set up a large frame on the school’s basketball court for the performance.
“The students will have a part in the performance for about five to 10 minutes and then the rest will be Circus Oz team,” he said.
Mr Moloney said this was a once in a lifetime opportunity for the students.
“It’s just amazing,” he said.
“Sometimes we get the opportunity to see something like this, but not to be involved as well.”
The students had workshops on Thursday and Friday.
“The skill improvement between the sessions was amazing,” Mr Moloney said.
He said he hoped there would be a big crowd at the performance on Saturday night, which would start at 7pm.
