Horsham Sharks Swimming Club’s Belinda Taylor said the meet went well.
“It was a huge success,” she said.
“Conditions were perfect and it was a really friendly but competitive atmosphere.
“Everyone was just excited to be competing in such good conditions.
“We had about 135 competitors representing all the clubs in the area, except the new Grampians club.”
There was five perpetual trophies handed out for open 100-metre events.
Matthew Ough and Montanna Connelly won the 100-metre backstroke trophies.
Ough and Tayla Nagorcka won the butterfly trophies.
The trophy for best individual aggregate for the meet was also won by Ough.
Taylor said there was a special relay event for the district 12 coaches and committee members as well.
“That was just for a bit of fun,” she said.
The meet was the district’s third of the season after Warracknabeal’s sprint meet on November 19 and Stawell’s November 26 meet.
Swimmers head to Warracknabeal on Saturday for the last meet before February next year.
