Joiner who once went through the motions of playing football for the Swifts Football Club and getting drunk with the boys has turned his life around with his involvement in MMA.
Having dropped a little more than 20 kilograms Joiner is a much leaner frame and is almost at his peak of physical fitness.
More than two years ago in September Joiner claimed his first win as an amateur.
He has since turned professional and is still kicking goals.
Joiner recorded his second win in December of the same year.
In May this year Joiner recorded his third win and with that made his way inside the top five heavy weight fighters in Australia and New Zealand.
Joiner was content with his achievement, but he wasn't finished there.
Joiner continues to impress and this time last week he was busy preparing for his fourth fight where he was once again victorious.
Joiner is currently undefeated with a 4-0 record.
He has won two fights by Technical Knock Out while the other fights have gone the distance and he has won by decision.
Joiner hopes one day he can be the country’s best fighter and while UFC is currently out of sight, he would jump at the opportunity if it was ever thrown his way.
