The school offers prep to year 9, but has been growing each year.
It will take on a class of year 10 students next year, year 11s in 2018 and year 12s in 2019.
Principal Jeff Gork said stage 2a was now practically finished.
The stage includes two classrooms, a food technology centre, music and drama rooms, and a video and audio recording studio.
Mr Gork said the food technology centre would include cameras and television screens to allow students to easily see the teacher’s demonstrations.
He said the recording studio would be used by students creating their own YouTube videos and radio station.
Mr Gork said he was happy with how the expansion was going so far.
“Everything has gone to plan and enrollment numbers are good so far,” he said.
The next stage of the project is 2b.
The school received $1.32 million from the state government in July for the stage.
Mr Gork said the contract for stage 2b had been awarded to Plazzer Builders.
“Construction will start in January and should finish in September,” he said.
Stage 2b will include four new classrooms, a large collective learning area, 2D and 3D art rooms and a staff room.
The stage will include an office for the head of middle school.
“We are grateful and fortunate to receive $1.32 million in funding for this stage,” Mr Gork said.
He said stage 2b would complete the middle school expansion.
Work on the senior school expansion should start in 2018.
“We expect students to start occupying the senior school in late 2018 and early 2019,” Mr Gork said.
He said plans for the senior school had been drawn up and the school had applied for additional funding.
Lutheran Church of Australia Victorian district council approved the school’s expansion to year 12 earlier this year.
