Chapple made great strides in 2016, captaining the side to his first ever premiership win and kicking seven goals. He was awarded the best on ground in the final (the Howard Kennedy Medal) and kicked 113 goals for the season. Chapple was awarded the Matt Walsh Medal for his goal-kicking form at the AFL Cairns presentations, the first player to beat Matt Walsh to the medallion in four years.
“It was definitely a successful season. That was my first (premiership) ever,” he said.
“We started a one session a week pre-season in November and had a three-week break over Christmas and the new year.
“We start again on January 18.”
Chapple said the side was currently recruiting.
“All the Horsham boys will be staying on for the next year,” he said.
