Hot Shots from Haven Tennis Club, Natimuk Tennis Club and Quantong Tennis Club received invitations to attend the Australian Open on Thursday.
The juniors also had the opportunity to meet ANZ Tennis ambassador and tennis and basketball Paralympic gold medallist Dylan Alcott.
Quantong Hot Shots coach Sally Ison said the children were absolutely surprised when they had the chance to meet Alcott.
“It was fantastic for everyone, nobody expected it,” she said.
“Everyone felt privileged to meet him.
“I know the eldest of my three children recognised him immediately.”
Ison said the whole experience was fantastic and she had to thank everyone who helped to make it happen.
“We were given 25 tickets from ANZ Tennis to go to the Australian Open for the day,” she said.
“We raised the rest of the money for the travel by doing a keg for a cause at the Exchange Hotel and raffles.
“I need to give a huge thank you to ANZ and the Horsham branch manager.”
