AFL Wimmera development manager Jason Muldoon said he was pleased with the first ever Kickstart and All Nations trial day at Horsham City Oval on Wednesday.

“We ended up with 10 kids coming down which is great for a first time,” he said.
Ex-AFL footballers David Rodan, Aaron Davey and Brett Goodes guided the participants through the program.
“It is a football programs but it is also an education for the kids,” Muldoon said.
“It’s about goal setting as well so having Rodan, Davey and Goodes there helps the indigenous kids see that there can be a career there for them if they work hard.”
Muldoon said the plan is to run a trial day every year following Wednesday’s success.
“This is just the start of what we’ll be doing,” he said.
