In reply Arapiles managed to chase down the score with about an over to spare.
Horsham Cricket Association board member Howard Schier has been working with the Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly to get the master cricket off the ground in in Horsham. He said it was good to see past cricketers come back to the game.
“They players involved enjoyed playing with and against each other,” he said.
“There was a really good atmosphere down at the ground with a fair amount of people coming down to watch.”
Schier said while the first attempt at playing master cricket in the Wimmera had been rushed there would be more planning for second season. “We’d like to get it up for the start of next season to play in October or November,” he said.
