In the Pennant division, there were no surprise results with the ladder looking reasonably similar to what it did before Saturday’s matches.
Kalkee won its second game in a row against Horsham Lawn Savage, winning the clash 7-86 to 4-58.
The match was all tied up after the sixth set, with each team on three wins apiece.
The seventh set was not complete, but from there on in it was one-way traffic.
Kalkee blew Savage off the court to win the next four sets and take the tie.
St Michael’s Horsham Tennis Club continued its strong run, taking its win-loss record to 13-1.
St Michael’s defeated Central Park 11-114 to 3-68.
A hiccup from St Michael’s at the start saw the side lose an early set, but after that 9-5 game between Chris Ellis and Ross McIntyre, St Michael’s stepped it up.
The team won the next five sets before losing the eighth set.
The home side finished strongly, losing only one further set to the third-placed Central Park team.
Horsham Lawn O’Connor was destroyed on its home turf by Drung South.
Drung South won 13-120 to O’Connor 1-51.
The only set Drung lost was the first.
In A Special, St Michael’s Horsham Tennis Club forfeited its clash against Natimuk.
Top-placed Brimpaen defeated Drung South.
The visitors won the match 10-118 to 4-82.
Haven hosted Homers in the closest match of the round.
Homers won the game 8-103 to Haven 6-93.
Homers started strongly, winning the first three sets, before Haven took one back in the fourth.
Homers bounced back with two more wins before Haven up the ante.
Haven fought back but could not swing the match in its favour, losing by two sets.
Results for Central Park and Telangatuk East were not available.
In A Grade, Laharum shocked the league by defeating top-of-the-table Noradjuha 9-100 to 3-79.
Quantong won its match against Haven 11-106 to 1-55.
Horsham Lawn Tennis Club tallied another win and remains in the race for finals.
The side defeated Brimpaen 9-96 to 3-65.
Central Park kept its faint finals hopes alive defeating Kalkee 6-75 to 6-73.
In the B Special division, league-leaders Drung South lost to third-placed team Laharum.
Laharum won easily 9-95 to 3-62.
Haven Green forfeited to its club counterparts Haven Black.
Horsham Lawn Tennis Club defeated Natimuk 11-105 to 1-49.
