Apsley’s Amber Ridge Café owner Cindy Cross will present a show about growing produce on the Tuesday.
“The show is about the ‘grow it, eat it’ principles that I run my business by,” she said.
“It’s about growing food that is in season and incorporating it into our food.”
Mrs Cross said an audience member would become her sous-chef during the show.
She said she would use tomatoes and zucchinis in her show.
“I love teaching people how to use produce, how to grow it and how to get the most out of their garden,” she said.
“People grow tomatoes, but there is only so much tomato sauce you can make.”
Mrs Cross said she had spoken at the field days before, but this was her first time demonstrating at the event.
On Thursday, Warracknabeal’s The Creekside Hotel owners Kevin and Sally Gebert will entertain the crowd.
Mrs Gebert said they were looking forward to the show.
“It’s the first time we’ve done anything like this before, but we’ve attended the field days many times,” she said. “We will go through how to make and cook our signature sausages.
“All of our sausages are homemade and slow-cooked.
“We will talk about tips and hints to make a great sausage and at the end of the show, people can try them.”
