Morgan smashed 15 sixes and seven fours in his innings of 137 as Rup-Minyip notched 7-339 on day one of the two-day clash.
There was nowhere to hide for the Laharum bowlers. Josh Mahoney was pummelled for 97 runs from his 10-over spell, while Damien Bunworth was hit for 75 from a lengthy 30-over stint.
Earlier, Rup-Minyip had chosen to bat on a flat strip at Minyip.
Opener Matt Downer (76) and skipper Travis Hair (52) set the scene for Morgan’s late fireworks.
The pair helped Rup-Minyip reach 6-165 before Morgan and Leigh Funcke (30 not out) shared in a 174-run stand for the seventh wicket.
Bunworth finished with two wickets for Laharum, bowling 13 maidens in his spell, while Brad Brotherton claimed 3-35 in his 13-over stint.
Blackheath-Dimboola looks certain to claim first innings points in its clash against Hosham Saints.
The Saints struggled to find any consistency with the bat at Coughlin Park after Blackheath-Dimboola won the toss and opted to field.
Justtin Combe top scored with 30 at the top of the innings for the home side, but a late order collapse saw Saints rolled for 122.
Elliot Braithwaite was the chief destroyer with the ball for Blackheath-Dimboola.
He claimed figures of 4-33 from his 13-over spell, with good support from Harry Young and Mitchell Jorgensen.
Braithwaite also proved damaging with bat in hand, smashing a quick-fire 46 as Blackheath-Dimboola finished day one on 2-101, just 21 runs in arrears of Saints’ first innings.
Veteran Saints quick Clint King picked up the key wicket of skipper Lachie Watts for 25, but it was among the few highlights for the home side.
Homers will push for an outright victory in its clash against Jung Tigers.
A composed innings of 82 from Jarred Combe allowed Homers to post 179 after the side looked to be in trouble early.
Jung’s Martyn Knight claimed the key wickets of Sandy Hodge and Lachlan Jones to have Homers reeling at 2-3 before Combe and Chris Hopper (38) were able to salvage the innings.
Josh Leith was the best of the Jung bowlers, finishing with figures of 3-18 from his eight overs.
Jung found the going tough in its innings.
Combe and Hopper returned to torment the Tigers with ball in hand, as Jung was rolled for 86 inside 24 overs.
Combe finished with 4-46 from his 12-over stint, while Hopper claimed the remarkable figures of 4-1 from 2.3 overs.
Homers were 0-10 at the start of the team’s second innings.
