In the Pennant division, the top two sides in St Michael’s Horsham Tennis Club and Drung South finished round 15 comfortable winners.
The game of the round was between the third and fourth-placed sides Central Park and Kalkee.
Fourth-placed Kalkee won the tie 8-90 to 6-78.
After four sets it was all tied up, with both sides winning two sets apiece.
In the fifth and sixth rubber, Kalkee nudged ahead before Central Park took one back.
Central Park had again levelled the tie by the 10th rubber.
Kalkee won three of the final four sets to take the match.
Grant Schultz and Jeff Frieburg were among the top performers for Kalkee, winning every set they played.
St Michael’s Horsham Tennis Club dominated Horsham Lawn O’Connor.
O’Connor was unable to win a single set. The closest the side came was in the 12th rubber, which it lost 9-8.
The league leaders won the match 14-126 to 0-56.
Second-placed Drung South showed why it will be the biggest threat to St Michael’s come finals, defeating Horsham Lawn Savage 12-119 to 2-62.
Drung won the first five sets 9-1, 9-5, 9-1, 9-0 and 9-8.
Savage pulled one back through Shane Gillespie and David Gove, but it was one of few highlights for the team.
Drung won the six sets in a row before Ross Janetzki and David Gove won a consolation set.
In A Special, matches were closer as teams prepared for finals.
The match of the round was between Haven and Drung South.
Drung South defeated Haven 8-108 to 6-73.
First-placed Brimpaen defeated fourth-placed Natimuk 9-120 to 5-82.
Homers were strong winners against Central Park.
Homers won 10-99 to 4-76.
Telangatuk East demolished bottom-of-the-table St Michael’s Horsham Tennis Club.
Telangatuk East won 12-122 to 2-59.
All sides in A Special in the top four have already booked a spot in the semi-finals.
In A Grade, Noradjuha defeated second-placed Quantong 9-96 to 3-61.
Kalkee was on the receiving end of a hiding when it travelled to Laharum.
Laharum won the tie 10-94 to 2-49.
Horsham Lawn Tennis Club made easy work Haven, defeating the travelling side 10-104 to 2-74.
Brimpaen and Central Park fought out the closest tie of the round.
Brimpaen defeated Central Park 6-79 to 6-72.
Fifth-placed Brimpaen could still make finals if the side wins by a considerable margin in the final round of the competition.
In B Special, Horsham Lawn Tennis Club defeated Haven Green 10-104 to 2-53.
Haven Black was defeated by Laharum 9-93 to 3-63.
