Sixteen players came from Nhill, Horsham, Minyip, Drung, Rainbow, Dimboola and Kaniva to enjoy perfect weather conditions and start the year’s events.
Nhill’s Eunice Ferguson won division one on 31 points on a countback from fellow Nhill golfer Jenny Creek. Division two winner was Kaniva’s Catherine Kennedy on 35 points, with Nhill’s Mary Jones the runner-up on 33 points. The Super Vet prize with 30 points was won by Nhill’s Marg Bound and Dulcie Webb finished second on 27 points. Nearest the Pins winners were won by Mary Jones and Wendy Norton.
Best nine out went to Horsham’s Marg Moore on 18 points and Kneller Lehmann, Dimboola, was the best on the back nine with 17 points. The next WDSLGA day will be at Horsham on March 17 starting at 9.30am.
