The three-day event at Longerenong will kick off on Tuesday.
Thousands of people will converge on the region, with manager Murray Wilson labelling the field days site one of the biggest satellite cities in the Wimmera.
He said all preparations were going well for the event.
“We have a crane service out at the site now and businesses are benefiting from that,” he said.
“It is helping put machines onto the site and put equipment together.
“Besides that, we have been busy unloading pallets and pallets of stuff.”
Mr Wilson said marquees were springing up all over the site.
“We’ve had caravans rolling in and we expect another 20 to travel up and down the highway.
“There has been a lot of activity through Horsham and the Wimmera already.”
Mr Wilson said smaller sites would start setting up on Monday.
“Besides that, we have been tidying up and making sure we have lots of signs so people can get in and find their way around.”
Mr Wilson said the site would be transformed into a city.
“There will be so many people, undercover areas and equipment on one massive area,” he said.
Mr Wilson said the entire site would be full of exhibitors.
“We are struggling to find anymore room in the outdoor sites, which is great,” he said.
“Some exhibitors will occupy about an acre each.”
The Wimmera Machinery Field Days isn’t just about farming, with family and lifestyle activities planned for each day of the event.
Features of this year’s field days include live children’s entertainment on Wednesday, cooking shows on Tuesday and Thursday and a motocross stunt show each day.
There will also be fashion parades, demonstrations by Horsham College students and a live snake show.
Mr Wilson said it truly was an event for the entire family.
“The family day on Wednesday is a great way to introduce the next generation of field days visitors to the event,” he said.
