Freestyle motocross rider Joshua Burdon, from Millicent in South Australia, will jump across O’Connors tractors three times a day every day at the event.
Factory FMX announcer Chris Potter warned the crowd before Mr Burden took to the air, covering a 23-metre gap in an arc reaching 30 metres high.
“When you’re on a motorbike, you should always wear a helmet whether its on the road or rounding up sheep,” he said.
“For your safety, and for Joshua’s safety, please stay behind the bunting.
Mr Potter told the crowd that conditions were perfect as Mr Burdon had to take wind and air pressure into account for his jumps.
Mr Burdon completed several jumps without incident, launching off the mobile ramps and performing stunts such as the kicker, double heel clicks and the catwalk.
The field days were lucky to get a motocross show, as Factory FMX usual rider had an accident at an event in Geelong.
“He broke a vertebrae and his collar bone, knocked himself out for a moment,” Mr Potter said.
“It’s difficult to get replacements as there are not too many people who do this sort of thing.”
Mr Potter said he hoped that ride Luke McNeil would be able to perform on Wednesday.
“He’s just got back from America, where he was a stunt double for Vin Diesel in the next movie in the Fast and the Furious franchise,” he said.
