Black Snake Productions is back at the field days this year, presenting live snake shows four times a day.
Presenter Mike Alexander showed crowds of onlookers different snakes including brown snakes and tiger snakes.
Mr Alexander said the point of the presentation was to teach people about snake safety.
“We want to try to stop the old saying that the best snake is a dead snake because it’s actually the number one reason for snake bites in Australia,” he said.
“People interacting with the animals leads to avoidable bites."
“Accidental bites still happen, but we talk to people about wearing the right gear.”
Mr Alexander said first aid was also a big part of his show.
“If people are bitten, we want to give them a good chance of survival,” he said.
Mr Alexander said snakes were important for agriculture.
”Snakes eat mice, so they help control pest and they are part of our ecosystem,” he said.
“If they aren’t near a house and they are out in the paddocks, they aren’t doing any harm.”
Black Snake Productions had a range of animals on display at the field days.
Mr Alexander said besides venomous snakes, they had a crocodile, pythons and a goanna.
