The Birchip Cropping Group event will be on March 29 at 12.30pm at the Nhill Golf Club.
Supported by Meat and Livestock Australia, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss future sheep opportunities and management options.
Meat and Livestock Australia southern Australia meat research council chairman Tim Leeming will open the session and discuss MLA research priorities and on-farm opportunities.
Mr Leeming will also conclude the day by sharing updates and information on late pregnancy physiology and meeting nutritional needs.
BCG livestock systems officer Alison Frischke said extensive research has been carried out and the event would be a good summation for Wimmera farmers.
“Growers are going to have an opportunity to hear information on successfully grazing crops, grazing and row spacing effect on barley, oat agronomy for feed and hay including gibberellic acid grazing in oats and grazing management opportunities,” she said.
Ms Frischke said people could go to the BCG website for more information or to buy a ticket.
